known to increase prosperity and vitality for the wearer. For many centuries,
garnet rings were used as talismans and amulets for protection.

There are many events, famous people throughout history that
are linked to the garnet and forms of jewelry or items that are set with it. Anyone that had health problems
with the circulatory system or even problems with blood pressure were given rings with garnets on it to get
cured. The red blood color of the garnet is also attached to the Christian tradition that it is a symbol of
Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. The fourth Heaven for the Muslims is also said to be illuminated by the garnet
based on writings in the Koran. Even architecture is adorned with this fantastic stone. In parts of
Czechoslovakia, the church interiors are decorated with garnets.
Garnets are deemed the
most plentiful of all the gems that can be found on earth so there are a lot of pieces that can be made into
jewelry, set in white gold, yellow gold and even silver that can be availed of. It is seen as the gift of love in
Greek mythology. It is something that you can give to symbolize return or reinforcing the bonds of love that you
have with someone. The Greek myth tells it that when Persephone left Hades, he gave her a pomegranate to ensure her
quick return. And so if a loved one is leaving on a trip, garnet
rings are a good choice for a gift.
Vitality is the main
quality that the garnet has, most likely due to the color it has relating to blood. It is said that wearing garnet
promotes good health and was at one point seen to be a cure for poisoning. Friendship, confidence, faithfulness,
loyalty and energy are also virtues that
garnet rings symbolize. Knowing all of these, it is best to
accent your life with rings inlaid with garnets.
